Counselling Intervention Service

Marsden Families Program’s Counselling Intervention Service (CIS) provides specialist counselling and therapeutic support for children and young people, aged 3 to 18 years, who are subject to child protection statutory intervention.

Using trauma-informed and attachment-focused practice and advance knowledge of child development and family and social systems, the overarching goal is to maintain safe and positive placement stability for children and young people.

Referrals

Referral Pathways Through Child Safety Services

All referrals are received via the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety. Referrals must be received from Child Safety Service Centres in the Moreton Bay Region including – Caboolture, Morayfield, Redcliffe and Strathpine CSSCs. 

 

All programs are an activity of Frederick Marsden Youth Centre in partnership with the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.
